建築以首層的(de)一個(gè)共享中廳爲核心串起了(le)辦公室、培訓教室、接待室、廚房(fáng)及2個(gè)住宿單元共8個(gè)功能塊。在主廳中布置交流區(qū)及讀書(shū)上網空間,使主廳成爲一個(gè)内聚性的(de)中樞,以此方式創造多(duō)種聚會性的(de)交流,形成如“家”般溫暖的(de)感受。二層提供多(duō)個(gè)室外活動平台,創造可(kě)以随處交流的(de)可(kě)能。
考慮到當地用(yòng)黏土做(zuò)牆體材料的(de)傳統,設計采用(yòng)壓縮麥捆磚加粘土的(de)牆體做(zuò)法,提升了(le)牆體的(de)性能,并減少鋼材和(hé)水(shuǐ)泥用(yòng)量。建築采用(yòng)雨(yǔ)水(shuǐ)收集、太陽能集熱(rè)、地闆輻射采暖及自然通(tōng)風技術降低建築能耗。

An atrium as a core connects 8 functional blocks including office, training classroom, reception room, kitchen and 2 accommodation units. That is also the communication and reading area which forms a warm feeling like "home". The second floor provides multiple outdoor activity platforms, creating the possibility of communicating anywhere.
In local construction tradition, people use clay as the wall material. We choose packed wheat bale and clay as the wall material to improve the performance of the wall and reduces the amount of steel and cement. Other sustainable technologies include rainwater collection, solar heat collection, floor radiant heating and natural ventilation technologies that will reduce the building’s energy consumption.
