Renovation of Tekesi Tai Chi Altar
Tekesi County, also known as the Bagua City, is designed and built according to the Bagua orientation of "Zhou Yi", covering an area of about 10 square kilometers. It is the only "Bagua City" in the world with a regular and complete urban diagram.
The Tai Chi altar is at the central point of the county. It carries the important function of disseminating local culture and providing public living space for local people.
The concept of "altar" in the Taoist tradition is selected instead of a high-level Buddhism tower. By analyzing the sight, the eight-direction modules are folded and left to form an open upper urban space. As people rise, their sights are constantly changing and echoing the eight radial roads in the city. Here becomes the core public place overlooking the Bagua city.
The number of mathematics in the book of Zhou Yi is a reference for design, adding a three-dimensional scale to the planar mathematics, deepening the culture of the Zhou Yi.
